This is where we live...

The Old Primary School, Carradale.

[Our House]
Build in 1890 by the Saddel and Skipness School Board, the house was used as a school right up until the new village school was built in the 1990's.
[Our House]
The rear of the house with the sheltered and sunny garden.
[Our House]
The rear garden is set to grass and flowerbeds and looks out across fields to the sea and the Isle of Arran.
[Our House]
A view from the roof windows of the fields and hills behind the house.
[Our House]
The roof has been part-converted by flooring and the addition of roof windows.
[Our House]
The rest of the roofspace is pretty much untouched and requires a fair amount of maintenance and repair carrying out.
[Our House]
Part of the unused void-space on the first floor.
[Our House]
We have big plans for this part of the house and hope to be able to preserve the original ceiling mouldings and other period features.

A mile or so down the road is Carradale Harbour, home to a handful of fishing boats. There are often a couple of seals swimming around the harbour, looking for scraps from the boats.
